How I doubled my sales in a year

Have you ever wondered how to double your sales in just one year? It may not require anything revolutionary, as I discovered on my journey of learning and improvement. Here are the steps I took:

1. Focus on What Makes You Unique

I started focusing on what makes Paige Barbee Jewelry unique. It's important to recognize that we can't make everyone happy, and that's okay! I believe that when you wholeheartedly pursue your passion, you will naturally attract your customers.

2. Follow Your Own Creative Vision

I stopped listening to others' suggestions and started making only what I truly wanted to create. Can I make that piece of jewelry you saw on Etsy? Sure! But do I want to? Not really. Designing is my passion, and I strive to create designs that are timeless yet unique. I removed designs that were not my favorite and also took time away from creating the pieces I loved.

3. Embrace Help

I started asking for help! I used to try to do everything on my own and suffer in silence. However, asking for help has been the most significant factor in growing my business. Some examples include (finally) hiring an employee, getting some help with childcare during the week, and asking peers for their suggestions when I encounter challenges.

4. Focus on Marketing

I started focusing on marketing instead of just making things all day. I took some time away from the bench to create a marketing schedule. I also realized the importance of repeating information on social media and through emails. Not everyone will see every post, and even those who do may need reminders before making a purchase. I started sending emails more often. I started sending emails weekly and more often when we had a promotion.

5. Find Your Community

After years of listening to the Thrive by Design podcast, I finally joined Flourish and Thrive's program called "Laying the Foundation." This program helped me prioritize the necessary steps for business growth and establishing a solid foundation. The coaches in the program are incredibly supportive and genuinely want to see you succeed. Additionally, I connected with a group of like-minded women who were at a similar stage in their businesses, and we continue to have weekly accountability calls.

If you want help growing your jewelry business, Flourish & Thrive is hosting a (FREE) Jewelry Brand Makeover Bootcamp from January 22nd to 26th. Sign up here!

Their last free bootcamp helped me create a reel that has received over 100k views and gained me over 400 new followers.
